Job Description

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on extrusion machines and related production equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production lines. Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled systems, automation components, sensors, VFDs, and motor controls, including 3-phase and single-phase power up to 460-480 volts. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals to identify issues and implement effective solutions. Install, maintain, and repair conveyor systems, motors, and other components in the production environment. Perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on production equipment, including control panels, PLC controls, and associated wiring. Collaborate closely with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize machine performance and throughput. Essential Skills Strong mechanical skills, including experience with mechanical maintenance and repair of production equipment. Strong electrical skills, including working safely with components up to 460-480 volts, 3-phase and single-phase power. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics in an industrial setting. Ability to troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled systems and automation equipment. Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and electrical maintenance for industrial machinery. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals. Experience performing preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work in a clean, climate-controlled food and beverage manufacturing facility focused on safety, quality, and adherence to GMP standards. The role is scheduled on a 3rd shift, operating from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on a 2/2/3 schedule, providing a predictable rotation and extended periods of time off. The environment includes modern extrusion lines, conveyor systems, automation equipment, and standard industrial tools and technology needed to support maintenance activities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mooresville, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
