Vernon, IN, offering storage, bulk transfer, packaging, blending, grinding, sorting, and material testing capabilities. Job Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of equipment and facilities. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and repairing machinery to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. Strong organizational skills are essential to effectively manage maintenance tasks and inventory. Key Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment and systems Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues and perform timely repairs Troubleshoot machinery breakdowns and implement effective solutions Maintain and repair production equipment, tools, and facility systems Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies Keep accurate maintenance records and logs of work performed Maintain a well-organized workspace, tools, and maintenance areas Track, manage, and maintain inventory of consumables, wear items, and spare parts Ensure critical spare parts are stocked to minimize downtime Assist with installation and setup of new equipment Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests Collaborate with production and management teams to improve equipment performance Qualifications High school diploma or GED (technical certification preferred) 2+ years of maintenance experience (manufacturing or industrial environment preferred) Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively Basic understanding of PLCs and automation (preferred) Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics Skills & Abilities Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage inventory and prioritize maintenance needs Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently Physical ability to lift, climb, and work in various conditions Working Conditions May require standing, bending, lifting, and working in industrial environments Exposure to noise, heat, and machinery May require overtime, weekends, or on-call availability
Pay:
$23.00 - $30.00 per hour
