JR. TANK MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN JOB
DESCRIPTIONJr.
Tank Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
The Jr. Tank Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting with the inspection, repair, and maintenance of above-ground fuel storage tanks and related petroleum equipment used in commercial and industrial settings. The Jr. Tank Maintenance Technician supports the operations team by helping ensure tanks and associated systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards. The Jr. Tank Maintenance Technician will work under the guidance of senior technicians to learn proper maintenance procedures, identify potential mechanical issues, and support preventative maintenance efforts. The Jr. Tank Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Tank Maintenance Manager.

Jr. Tank Maintenance Technician duties will include, but are not limited to:

Assist with inspection, maintenance and repair of fuel storage tanks and containment systemsPerform routine tank cleaning and preventative maintenance proceduresConduct visual inspections for leaks, corrosion and structural integrityMaintain accurate service record and inspection reportsFollow all OSHA, EPA, state and company safety regulationsSafely operate power tools, equipment and service vehiclesAssist Sr. Tank Maintenance Technicians with troubleshooting and emergency response situationsClean and maintain grounds and facilitiesTravel locally to jobsites
Experience/Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power toolsStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Valid Drivers License Hours:
The Jr. Tank Maintenance Technician is a full-time position and works 40 hours per week
Salary/Income:
The Jr. Tank Maintenance Technician is a non-exempt, hourly position
