You will play a key role in ensuring facility security and operational efficiency by utilizing your mechanical aptitude to resolve complex hardware and electrical issues in the field. Responsibilities Execute precise installation and troubleshooting of commercial door systems, including sliding, automatic, and industrial dock hardware. Diagnose and resolve mechanical failures such as spring, hinge, and lock malfunctions to restore site functionality. Configure and integrate advanced access control systems, low-voltage hardware, and electronic locking mechanisms. Verify that all service work adheres strictly to safety protocols and current building code requirements. Deliver exceptional client support by clearly explaining technical solutions and providing actionable recommendations for system longevity. Maintain comprehensive digital service records and documentation for all completed repairs and installations. Perform rigorous quality inspections to ensure every project meets high-performance standards. Qualifications Required Skills 4+ years of professional experience in the commercial door or hardware industry. Demonstrated proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and precise measurement instruments. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities. Physical capability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and perform tasks in varied field environments. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Preferred Skills Active AAADM certification. Experience with welding and metal fabrication. Familiarity with storefront glazing and hollow metal frame systems. Advanced knowledge of industrial automation and low-voltage wiring.
