Job Description

Position Title:
Maintenance Technician Pay :
Starting rate : $26.35 - $31.58 Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.
Category/Shift :
Hourly Full-Time, Third shift (6p - 6a), will move to nights after a period of training on day shift (6am - 6pm) Technician will work a rotating schedule, that includes every other weekend.

The Job You Will Perform:
Safely provide maintenance support to our fast-paced Sheet Facility that is equipped with technology ranging from simple to state of the art for the corrugated industry and following all safety processes at all times. Responsible to safely maintain all equipment utilizing the planned preventative maintenance program, troubleshoot and solve equipment problems, prioritize the scheduled maintenance work around the daily production schedules, create an atmosphere and culture that drives toward an accident free workplace, utilize both excellent mechanical skills and electrical/electronic skills. Responsible for preventative maintenance on equipment, such as any servicing of conveyors, presses, stackers, etc. Read and understand mechanical prints, electrical wiring diagrams/schematics, AC/DC motors, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams. Troubleshoot, repair and install mechanical components, electrical controls, AC/DC motors, pneumatic equipment, hydraulic equipment, bearings, and power transmission. Perform fabrication of equipment (welding both arc and gas) to desired needs. Be able to make adjustments on equipment to improve productivity. Be able to identify and locate unusual sounds that indicate potential trouble. Be able to dismantle equipment to gain access to defective parts. Examine and determine to what degree parts have worn, and repair or replace parts as needed. Operate metal, woodworking, and hand tools to make, and repair, parts.
The Skills You Will Bring:
Minimum three to five years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment with one year preferred electrical experience. Candidate must have technical skills in all disciplines of industrial maintenance. Working knowledge of PLC controlled equipment. Must have good working knowledge of various meters (volt/amp meters, schematics, dial calipers, heat sensing guns, etc.) Able to work on computer systems for maintenance processes, work orders, and spare part inventory. Outstanding analytical and decision-making skills. Able to handle multiple projects at one time. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills.
