Job Description

General Maintenance Repair Technician - Posted May 1, 2026 The primary responsibilities of the General Maintenance Repair Technician include installing, maintaining, upgrading and fabricating machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and other requirements per project and equipment needs throughout university facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
General Labor Assistance Pipefitting Carpentry Operation of all heavy & light duty equipment Assist with snow removal
Job Duties:
Managing Equipment Assisting Other Staff Work Orders Safety Security Other Miscellaneous tasks
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of wide array of tools
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment capabilities
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical directions
  • Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions
  • Ability to reach, stoop, bend and lift heavy equipment
  • Maintain & use all equipment safely
