Full Job Description Job Title:

Maintenance Mechanic 3 Position Summary Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and piping and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - includes the following, but others may be assigned

• Install, assemble and test new machines and equipment; understand and comply with workplace safety regulations.
• Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate.
• Repairs defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Troubleshoot CNC controls, CNC Mills, CNC lathes, CNC hobs, CNC shapers and other automated and manual machining equipment.
• Monitor, identify and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery such as changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, sounds, smells or atypical energy usage; perform troubleshooting for production machinery.
• Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment.
• Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electric, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; identify and replace worn or damaged parts in a timely manner.
• Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
• Maintain machinery and the adjacent workplace in a state of appropriate cleanliness; create and maintain a schedule for inspection, service and testing of machinery.
• Performing general maintenance work on buildings and associated structures as assigned.
• Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification or installation of machinery.
• Perform monthly and annual safety and environmental inspections as assigned.
• Work effectively with other team members in a loud environment. Education and Experience
• Three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both.
• Forklift Certification, Valid Driver's License.
• Welding and cutting using oxy/acetylene & plasma Competencies
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and machine ladder logic.
• Knowledge and understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience repairing setting up and running CNC machining equipment.
• Be designated as electrically competent to work on electrical equipment.
• Basic understanding in HVAC
• Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
• Demonstrates understanding and follows all product-related processes and procedures.
• Ability to conduct tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
• Knowledge of the use of a variety of hand tools (e.g., wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers).
• Demonstrate eagerness, enthusiasm, and optimism for work activities. This includes the willingness to take ownership for work activities.
• Identify problems and assist to resolution.
• Interact cooperatively and collaboratively with others as a team.
• Communicate information clearly.
• Detail-oriented. Computer Skills
• Microsoft Outlook, Internet, and Microsoft Excel.

Pay:

$30.00 per hour
