Job Description

SUMMARY:
Perform assigned preventative maintenance tasks. Set-up, adjust and maintain assigned equipment with responsibility for production and quality performance of the machines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
: Perform all work within established local, state and federal regulations, company policies, programs and/or guidelines. Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment. Plan details of procedure and develop logical approach to correct problem. Make necessary repairs, corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality. Test equipment to verify proper and safe condition for operation. Work with Maintenance Manager, Area Foreman and Leadman to review production schedules and plan preventative maintenance tasks during available time slots. Perform established preventative maintenance tasks on assigned equipment; take appropriate action to insure safe operation and document on appropriate forms. Perform repairs to building, facilities and service equipment as assigned by Maintenance Manager. Contact person requesting repairs and determine actions required. Schedule and complete needed repairs. Work closely with Maintenance Manager to identify priorities for scheduled tasks, unscheduled maintenance requests and preventative maintenance responsibilities. Prepare for and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Accurately complete all required documentation including, but not limited to, maintenance request forms, inspection forms, personnel forms and other maintenance-related forms. Document use of replacement parts, maintenance equipment, supplies and tools. Perform assigned tasks for special projects. Effectively communicate changes in priorities or completion dates due to unscheduled projects of higher priority or urgency.
