Facilities Maintenance Crew Hicks Block LLC Topeka, KS Job Details Full-time From $18 an hour 8 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Pressure washing Sanitation Performing background checks Hand tools Full Job Description Role Objective The Facilities Maintenance Associate is responsible for maintaining the physical integrity and visual excellence of the property's exterior and common areas. This role ensures a high standard of cleanliness and "show-readiness" to attract new residents and maintain high satisfaction for current ones.
Key Responsibilities Property Upkeep:
Conduct daily "trash sweeps" of the grounds, parking lots, and perimeter fences to ensure they are free of debris.Janitorial Tasks:
Clean, vacuum, and polish common areas including the leasing office, and laundry facilities.Lobby & Hallway Care:
Ensure entryways are free of cobwebs, glass doors are streak-free, and hallways are well-lit and clean.Minor Repairs:
Perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing burnt-out light bulbs in common areas, tightening loose door handles, and touching up paint on trim or curbs.Landscaping Support:
Assist with seasonal tasks such as pulling weeds from flower beds, watering plants, or clearing snow and ice from walkways.Resident Relations:
Represent the management team professionally when interacting with residents and prospective renters. Required Skills & Qualifications Eye forDetail:
An ability to spot small issues (a flickering light, a stray piece of litter) before they become big impressions.Physical Stamina:
Ability to walk the property for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.Basic Tool Knowledge:
Familiarity with basic hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers, pliers) and cleaning equipment (pressure washers, industrial vacuums).Reliability:
A consistent schedule is vital, as the "first impression" of the building must be ready before the leasing office opens each morning.Background Check:
Due to the nature of this position involving direct interaction with families and children in a residential apartment community, candidates must pass a background check and individuals with felony convictions will not be considered.Job Type:
