Maintenance Technician - 12 hr
Shift Location:
Bowling Green, KY, 42101
Job Summary:
Responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility/production equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance. All work will be done in compliance with EPA, OSHA, and other safety rules and regulations.
Essential Functions:
Install and troubleshoot electrical motors, motor controls, up to 480V systems, compressors. PLC Program Troubleshooting. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Read and understand electrical and other mechanical diagrams. Run conduit and troubleshoot network cable (CAT 5). Log and track inventory of repair equipment and supplies. Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Perform skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Diagnose production equipment problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facility. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, aerial lifts, and material handling equipment.
Job Related Functions:
Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Coach and train production personnel on maintenance-related topics. Assure the safety of facility employees through compliance with all state and federal OSHA and EPA laws and regulations. Responsible for Kaizen and 5S of the plant in general.
Educational Requirements:
High School diploma or
GED. 3-5
years of multi-skilled industrial experience in maintenance. Skilled in electrical and mechanical repairs, hydraulics/pneumatics, PLC controls (preferred), Robot programming (preferred), and equipment layout and installation.
