6425 Job description: Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities management team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of manufacturing and residential facilities through proactive troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing skills, along with experience in facilities maintenance and supervisory responsibilities. Tire machine knowledge Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and building systems to ensure operational efficiency. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using schematics, ohmmeters, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to diagnose issues accurately. Conduct mechanical repairs, including welding and replacement of parts, to maintain equipment reliability. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Oversee small teams or contractors during maintenance projects, providing supervision and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Assist with residential painting projects and general facilities upkeep to enhance property appearance and functionality. Interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams to facilitate precise repairs and installations. Lead or support manufacturing facility maintenance efforts to minimize downtime and improve productivity. Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities. Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or residential environments. Strong electrical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with schematics, PLCs, and ohmmeters. Mechanical expertise including welding skills and familiarity with mechanical systems. Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and electrical diagrams fluently. Supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance setting preferred. Proficiency in using CMMS software for scheduling and tracking work orders. Excellent communication skills in English for effective team collaboration. Knowledge of residential painting techniques is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team under minimal supervision. Basic understanding of customer service principles related to facilities management.
