Non-Exempt Must be comfortable with changing temperatures within a warehouse environment.
Direct Reports:
N/A Position Summary Provides preventive maintenance, general servicing, repair and troubleshooting on all packaging machinery to minimize interruptions in operations, extend asset life and ensure employee safety.
Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions:
Set-ups and calibrates machine at start up and between changeovers based on work order specifications. Ensures overall mechanical performance of packaging machines. Troubleshoots, investigates and resolves equipment issues including root problem analysis. Follows up to ensure all repair work was performed correctly, and equipment is in good working order. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Performs basic tune up on machines during production runs and ensures no specs have changed since start up. Responds to calls from production employees in a timely manner and communicates with Assistant Production Manager regarding repair work, status or parts needs. Comply with all safety rules and regulations. Review and conduct cycle counts of tools and parts inventories. Update, maintain and track downtime of equipment.
Job Specifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years' experience working on industrial machinery or similar equipment. Ability to work overtime as required based on business needs. Ability to work independently and as a team. Ability to prioritize, organize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment. Prior experience with hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems. Knowledge of OSHA regulations regarding safety and machine guarding. Ability to reach, bend, climb and lift up to 50 lbs. Experience Required Journeyman Trade Level 2 year(s): Previous industrial maintenance experience 2 year(s): Pneumatic Systems 2 year(s): Manufacturing 2 year(s): Electrical Experience Skills Preferred Bilingual -
