Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Staff member to ensure the optimal operation and upkeep of our facilities. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining building systems, performing repairs, and supporting the overall functionality of our premises. Your expertise will help create a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for all occupants and visitors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills while contributing to a well-maintained facility. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure safety and efficiency. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, electrical equipment repair techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other mechanical tasks to repair or upgrade facilities infrastructure. Maintain facilities equipment including HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, electrical panels, and hand tools. Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects and interior building repairs to uphold aesthetic standards. Follow detailed schematics and technical manuals for complex repairs involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems. Lead or support maintenance operations with a focus on customer service by responding promptly to repair requests and ensuring minimal disruption. Document all maintenance activities accurately and adhere to safety protocols during all procedures. Support maintenance planning by managing maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies and inventory. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles with a strong background in electrical work, plumbing, HVAC system repair, welding, carpentry, and painting. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting electrical equipment using tools like ohmmeters. Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently in various repair tasks. Experience supervising or leading maintenance teams is preferred; leadership skills are highly valued. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC systems, building interior maintenance, plumbing systems, electrical equipment repair, and facilities equipment maintenance is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills in English for clear documentation and coordination with team members. Also, must have reliable transportation and have your own tools.
