Maintenance Technician for Housing Affordable Housing of Hopkinsville Hopkinsville, KY Job Details Full-time 3 days ago Benefits Health savings account Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Flexible spending account Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Opportunities for advancement Life insurance Qualifications Building exterior maintenance Maintenance High school diploma or GED Driver's License Handyman experience Plumbing system maintenance Mechanical knowledge Building interior maintenance Full Job Description Job Overview This position is for maintenance work including routine maintenance and repairs to units and buildings of a housing development including but not limited to painting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC , and mechanical work. This position is a full-time position Monday - Thursdays, 36 hour work week. Candidate would also participate in an on-call rotation schedule for emergencies. Responsibilities Perform necessary repairs of vacant units for new tenants in a timely manner. Perform routine and preventative repairs on units as scheduled. Complete assigned work orders from tenants and property management staff in a timely and professional manner. Regularly inspect buildings/units and identify any potential issues. Possess strong problem-solving skills and good communication skills. Adhere to safety regulations and identify potential hazards to ensure the safety of all residents and staff. Rotate in on-call with other maintenance team members Perform related work as required. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous building type maintenance preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
