Job Description

Homeland Incorporated is seeking a Part-Time Apartment Maintenance Technician to support affordable housing communities. Responsibilities include performing routine and preventive maintenance, completing work orders, basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting, painting, and unit turns. The technician will help maintain curb appeal, ensure safety standards, and respond promptly to resident service requests. Ideal candidates are dependable, organized, and able to work independently while collaborating with property staff to provide clean, safe, and well-maintained homes for residents. Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on apartment units and common areas Complete resident work orders in a timely and professional manner Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues Assist with unit turns, including repairs, cleaning, and painting Maintain property curb appeal and ensure safe, clean common areas Follow safety protocols and report hazards or major repair needs Collaborate with property staff to prioritize maintenance needs Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supply inventory Required Skills General building maintenance Basic plumbing repair Basic electrical repair HVAC troubleshooting Carpentry and drywall repair Painting and finishing Preventive maintenance Safety and OSHA awareness Work order management Use of hand and power tools
