Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Effectively installs, maintains, and repairs equipment including but not limited to: industrial machinery, plumbing, and electrical equipment.
Essential Functions:
Utilize analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting and repair techniques on manufacturing equipment; electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, or mechanical systems to maintain optimum equipment calibration, safe operation and reliability.

Install/maintain light fixtures as neededRepair shelving/product racksMinor equipment repair/conveyor system repairFurniture assembly (occasional), painting wallsPerform scheduled preventive maintenance and service covering a wide variety of equipment to maintain optimum equipment operation and reliability using proper hand and power tools.

General repair (drywall, sinks, etc.)Snow removalTravel to purchase/acquire parts needed for facility repairsProvide emergency and unscheduled repairs on a wide variety of equipment, machines, and facilities as needed using proper hand and power tools. Install and set up equipment for production as required. Support Building Facilities Engineering as required.

Responsible for meeting all criteria and policies as set forth in the Company Employee Handbook, Driver's Handbook, Fleet Safety Policy, and OSHA standards;Assists in special projects as requested.
Knowledge, Skills, Duties and Abilities:
Able to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, blue prints, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Knowledge and ability to work with 120/277/480 volt electricity;Ability to perform work productively with a high quality of workmanship while able to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety;Be dependable, trustworthy, display a professional attitude, and complete work within given deadlines;Ability to use resourcefulness and tact in meeting new problems;Ability to perform assigned work in a systematic and organized manner;Detail oriented;Must be able to take initiative and be self-sufficient while working independently with minimal supervision;Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in writing, orally, diagram, and/or schedule form;Proficient with basic computer skills;Using English, communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing;Ability to work as a team member in a professional manner;Customer service oriented.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
2-year technical degree or equivalent is preferred; 6 months-1 year facility maintenance supervisory experience is preferred; Conveyor repair and maintenance experience required;Scissors lift and forklift experience preferred;Must possess and maintain a valid and current driver's license; High school diploma or GED equivalent preferredSuccessfully complete a pre-employment drug testWear appropriate footwear protection and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed by Company policyAcknowledgement of and adherence to all Company policies and procedures as contained within the Fisher Auto Parts Employee and Driver's Handbooks
