Position Summary The position of Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift oversees performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment. Their duties include fixing machinery, plumbing, HVAC, and wiring, and inspecting the building to confirm safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up, repair and maintain Pick-to-Light racking/hardware and other equipment used in the Value-Add Department for production. Repair machines to limit machinery downtime during production. Performing routine maintenance around building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window or wall repair Applying preventive measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems. Troubleshoot common issues with equipment and assist operators with getting back to production. Complete periodic maintenance of equipment and machinery by following the recommended upkeep schedule. Complete a variety of tasks related to maintenance of machinery, including plumbing, electrical jobs, HVAC, structural concerns and more depending on the scope of the project. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb ladders and work from scissor lifts. Available to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule with the maintenance team and respond to maintenance emergencies when required. Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements. Other Duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must possess excellent customer service skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills, including the ability to use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to complete work orders. Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs on 480V, 277V, 120V AC single-phase and three-phase systems, as well as DC systems.

Experience and Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required. Previous warehouse industry experience preferred. Experience working around Ammonia Refrigeration systems preferred. At least 2 years of Maintenance experience in a factory, manufacturing environment, or equivalent technical training and experience.
