Job Description

Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that environmental, health, and safety protocols are adhered to, making them a top priority in our operations. You will support safety initiatives, participate in monthly safety meetings, and perform safety audits. Your role will also involve providing technical guidance on manufacturing processes, plant operations, and new technologies, while maintaining compliance with quality standards. Responsibilities Complete work orders and perform preventative maintenance on equipment, logging data in the Maintenance Management System. Record parts used on equipment in the Maintenance Management System. Perform electrical work in accordance with NEC code standards. Assign resources to maintain production uptime and address quality issues, with the authority to stop production if necessary. Reduce changeover times using quick changeover methodology. Coordinate activities of inspection, planning, and execution functions within the maintenance organization. Provide input for spare parts retention to ensure uninterrupted plant operation. Lead efforts to improve manufacturing process efficiency and consistency. Interface with vendors, contractors, and engineering firms for project support. Conduct equipment inspections and troubleshooting, requiring physical inspections of equipment lines. Document electrical installations, both new and existing. Perform various tasks such as welding, grinding, metal fabrication, plumbing, carpentry, and painting. Serve as a Rigger for certain jobs. Perform tasks requiring the use of a respirator. Complete other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager. Essential Skills Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance roles. Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and gear-driven equipment. Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing motors, conveyors, pumps, compressors, and other production machinery. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and basic industrial automation systems. Ability to perform electrical maintenance, including wiring, motor controls, sensors, and drives. Experience in preventative and predictive maintenance. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Experience with lockout/tagout, OSHA safety protocols, and industrial safety practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications Welding, fabrication, and machine shop tool experience preferred. Basic computer skills. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to respond quickly to production downtime issues. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the execution of the facility's equipment maintenance process. The primary objective of this position is to improve and sustain the value of Company assets while increasing reliability and lowering operating costs. They work to enable the successful operation of Company equipment so that the facility can meet production requirements. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Winchester,KY.
