Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic facilities team as a Facilities Maintenance Technician, where your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of building systems and equipment to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment. Your proactive approach and technical skills will directly contribute to the seamless operation of our facilities, supporting our mission to deliver excellence every day. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment to prevent downtime. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, including wiring, circuit breakers, switches, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Conduct HVAC system repairs, including servicing air conditioning units, heaters, ventilation systems, and replacing filters. Use hand tools, schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to identify issues and execute repairs efficiently. Carry out carpentry tasks such as building interior structures or repairing fixtures; perform maintenance painting to uphold facility aesthetics. Maintain facilities equipment by replacing parts, lubricating moving components, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Supervise or assist with plumbing repairs, including pipe repairs, leak detection, and maintaining plumbing system functionality. Lead small maintenance teams or projects when required; demonstrate leadership in safety protocols and operational procedures. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies; document maintenance activities thoroughly. Support customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for repairs or maintenance needs within the facility. Will rotate On-Call evenings and weekends. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role with a strong understanding of building systems. Hands-on experience with electrical work, HVAC repair, plumbing maintenance, welding, carpentry, and painting. Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring and mechanical systems; ability to read technical diagrams accurately. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical equipment repair techniques. Experience working with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supplies and tools in a fast-paced environment. Supervisory or leadership experience is preferred; capable of guiding team members effectively. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills; able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
