Job Description
Position Description:
Surge Adventure Parks and Entertainment Centers are cutting-edge entertainment, fitness, and sports facilities unlike anything you have ever experienced. We have created a venue for active social outings, intense workouts, and awesome birthday parties. Our Maintenance Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers are provided with a safe, high-quality environment in which they can enjoy the full Surge experience. Technicians must be at least 18 years of age, be able to pass a drug screening, and have a clean and valid Driver's License. Duties and Responsibilities- Adhere to company policy and procedure
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct
- Communicate effectively throughout the organization
- Maintain a clean work area free of clutter
- Ensure the safe use of equipment, machines, and attractions by proactively identifying potential problems which may compromise service, quality, and/or performance
- Greet customers with a smile and maintain a helpful attitude
- Handle customer problems or issues in the quickest and fairest way possible
- Collaborate with management to development a preventative maintenance plan
- Program machines to ensure proper function
- Ensure all games are clean, stocked, and presentable to guests
- Install, calibrate, and test arcade game readers, game parts, and machines
- Dismantle and reassemble mechanical and technical components
- Clean machines, parts, tools, and other equipment regularly to ensure smooth operations
- Inspect and troubleshoot machines to determine the cause of malfunctions
- Repair and maintain the mechanical and electronic components of the Park
- Maintain records of machine maintenance, parts orders, repairs, and work history
- Minimize expenses by strategically sourcing assets and acquiring parts and equipment
- Communicate all equipment and operational issues in the Slack application
- Perform the Opening, Running, and Closing department duties as assigned
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Education and Licensure:
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Valid Driver's License (required)
- Technical training (preferred)
Skills and Experience:
- Technical experience: 1 year (required) OR Education equivalent
Facilities Maintenance:
1 year (preferred)Maintenance:
1 year (preferred)- Experience with Embed and Intercard technologies (preferred)
- Must be able to work independently under time constraints
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, plumbing, and dry wall patching
- Basic understanding of blueprints and schematic diagrams
- Strong attention to detail, planning, and organization
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, time management, and multitasking skills
- General knowledge of computer hardware and software systems
- General knowledge of the repair and maintenance of automated bowling equipment and various arcade games
- General knowledge of AV systems including movie sound, mobile video, projectors, and control systems
- General knowledge of circuitry boards
- Skills in practical applications of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, and small electric motors
- Ability to read and understand the assembly and owner's manual
- Ability to effectively communicate the problems or issues with any arcade games, bowling lanes, and other attractions to management
Schedule:
Full Time Part Time Day shift Night shift Monday - Friday Weekend availabilityHolidays Environmental and Working Conditions:
- Frequently working in air conditioned, well-ventilated areas
- Occasionally working outdoors
- Frequently working in dimly lit areas
- Frequently exposed to flashing lights and loud sounds
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Must be able to kneel, bend, stretch, push, pull, turn as needed
- Must be able to visually inspect machines
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Must be able to lift over 50 pounds as needed
