Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic 2 performs maintenance service and repairs in many areas, such as general electrical repairs and nurse call repairs. Is knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures in area(s) of specialty. The position relies on guidelines and some experience and judgment to complete job and works under general supervision. 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area High School Good customer service and communication skills
Preventative Maintenance & Repair:
This will have been satisfactorily performed when ? Equipment is inspected for proper operation and working condition and routine records are maintained as determined by 95% completion of all PM Work Orders on time. Type and extent of malfunction of equipment is determined and the history of equipment log can be produced at any given time. Daily building rounds are made to assure proper operation, and necessary adjustments are made to assure proper building temperature and pressures. Repairs are made to heating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment including fans, motors, thermostats, dampers and regulating controls. Filter and fluids are replaced as necessary. Proper repairs and alterations are made to steam, gas, water, air and sanitary plumbing pipes and fixtures. Manual duties such as moving supplies, furniture, removing trash, scrap material, replacing tools and supplies and replacing light bulbs are completely properly. Moving of supplies, furniture equipment are done so as not to interrupt scheduled events.
Productivity:
This will have been satisfactorily performed when… Problems are identified and repair is made within 24 hours, when possible. Preventative Maintenance program is completed and in place to eliminate unscheduled downtime. Unscheduled requests are evaluated and prioritized against scheduled request such that requests are completed to expectations within 36 hours of receipts using available resources appropriately. Proper placement of tools, trash, and scrap material is made immediately.
