Job Description

Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and documenting service work for portable sanitation systems, water and wastewater equipment, pumps, tanks, plumbing systems, and other site service infrastructure. This role supports Holy Dippers' commitment to providing safe, reliable, and responsive service on large-scale construction and industrial projects. The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring all site sanitation and wastewater systems remain operational. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance & Repairs Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain portable restroom systems and related equipment. Diagnose mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and operational issues. Repair pumps, plumbing components, hoses, valves, fittings, freshwater systems, and wastewater systems. Perform preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled service work. Assist with equipment installation, setup, relocation, and removal. Complete equipment winterization and seasonal maintenance activities. Maintain office trailer wastewater systems, water tanks, and related site infrastructure. Service Operations Respond to maintenance service requests in a timely and professional manner. Prioritize equipment repairs based on operational needs and safety concerns. Assist sanitation, water hauling, and wastewater service teams as needed. Support emergency maintenance activities during equipment failures and site outages. Coordinate with supervisors and dispatch personnel regarding service priorities and equipment status. Documentation & Reporting Complete digital work orders, maintenance tickets, inspections, and reports using company software. Record detailed notes regarding repairs, diagnostics, labor, and materials used. Capture required photographs for quality assurance and customer reporting. Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately documented and closed out daily. Maintain service records in accordance with company and customer requirements. Safety & Compliance Participate in daily safety meetings, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and Stretch & Flex activities. Follow all Holy Dippers, OSHA, customer, and site-specific safety requirements. Wear appropriate PPE at all times. Report hazards, incidents, near misses, and equipment concerns immediately. Maintain a zero-incident mindset and contribute to a safe work environment. General Responsibilities Arrive to work on time and prepared for daily assignments. Maintain a professional appearance and represent Holy Dippers positively on customer sites. Keep tools, vehicles, and work areas clean and organized. Operate company vehicles and equipment safely. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Required Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Ability to operate smartphones, tablets, and digital work-order systems. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to pass required drug and alcohol screening programs. Preferred Experience in maintenance, plumbing, wastewater, sanitation, construction, or industrial services. Knowledge of pumps, tanks, water systems, and plumbing components. Experience working on active construction or industrial sites. Experience with preventive maintenance programs and digital maintenance tracking systems. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions. Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and walking. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and emergency call-outs when required.
