Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and versatile Handyman to join our team, dedicated to maintaining and improving the functionality, safety, and appearance of our facilities. In this role, you will perform a wide range of repair, maintenance, and installation tasks across various areas, ensuring that all work complies with safety standards and construction regulations. Your expertise will help create a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for hands-on work and problem-solving in a dynamic industrial or commercial setting. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards. Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, doors, windows, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to execute projects accurately. Assist with erosion control measures and implement safety protocols in accordance with OSHA standards. Handle heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to manual handling guidelines and workplace safety regulations. Repair or replace damaged equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and longevity. Support construction or renovation projects by following detailed plans and coordinating with other trades as needed. Climb ladders or scaffolding safely to access high areas; utilize respiratory protection equipment when required. Maintain a clean work environment by following proper disposal procedures for waste materials. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations related to industrial construction sites, including the implementation of OSHA safety standards. Requirements Proven experience in industrial construction or maintenance roles with a strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and troubleshooting. Familiarity with erosion control techniques and environmental safety practices. Knowledge of workplace safety protocols including respiratory protection, climbing safety, heavy lifting procedures, and manual handling techniques. Hands-on experience working with power tools and industrial equipment in a safe manner. Strong communication skills to interpret technical instructions clearly and work effectively within a team. Ability to work outdoors or in confined spaces as required by project demands. Prior experience adhering to OSHA safety standards in industrial or commercial environments is highly preferred.
