The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and experience working with diesel engines, braking systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
Major areas of responsibility include:
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on tractor-trailers and fleet vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems. Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to ensure vehicle safety and reliability. Execute annual vehicle inspections in accordance with CFR 49, Part 396; ensuring compliance with federal regulations. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation of work performed Perform related duties as assigned Skills and Assets High school diploma or equivalent Basic knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, air brakes, and hydraulic systems Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
