Floor Care Technician

Summary:

The floor technician is responsible for performing duties in accordance with established organizational policies and procedures for providing a safe environment. The technician performs all types of floor care and maintenance throughout the facility including hard surfaces and carpet. Cleans and performs routine maintenance on floor equipment, maintains accurate floor care logs and checklists. Ability to operate the janitorial equipment.

Janitorial equipment consists of:

operating tarp scrub floor machine, buffer machine, stripping and waxing all floor. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Experience:

Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
