Job Description

Summary:
The floor technician is responsible for performing duties in accordance with established organizational policies and procedures for providing a safe environment. The technician performs all types of floor care and maintenance throughout the facility including hard surfaces and carpet. Cleans and performs routine maintenance on floor equipment, maintains accurate floor care logs and checklists. Ability to operate the janitorial equipment.
Janitorial equipment consists of:
operating tarp scrub floor machine, buffer machine, stripping and waxing all floor. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Qualifications:

Experience:
Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
