Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering; OR Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses. Job Duties and Other Information The Mission of Building Services is to provide a facility that is clean, safe, comfortable, and well maintained in order to establish an environment that complements the educational goals of the institution. Building Services fulfills this mission through the following: Performs general maintenance, repairs, and additions to all Residential Life buildings. Maintains and repairs air conditioning systems and motorized cleaning equipment. Replaces and installs ceiling tiles, window screens, hinges, knobs, showerheads, closet hasps, doors, and window blinds, caulks doors and windows, and performs painting repairs. Climbs ladders to replace light bulbs and clean out light fixtures, helps investigate and solve problems, and completes any assignments given by the supervisor.
