Maintenance Mechanic Ayer Housing Authority The Ayer Housing Authority is accepting applications for a full-time, 40 hours per week, maintenance mechanic. Applicants must be able to perform a wide range of exterior/interior maintenance of property, including minor electrical, carpentry, painting, plumbing, grounds maintenance, snow and ice duties and custodial duties. Must have experience using power and hand tools, be able to climb ladders and lift moderate to heavy items. Experience in the care and maintenance of public housing buildings and grounds is preferable. Applicants must be available to provide on-call nights and weekend coverage for maintenance emergencies on a rotating basis. Candidate must be energetic and self-motivated person. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions, work in a professional manner with employees and a diverse population of residents. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED certificate and be in good general health, possess a valid Massachusetts driver's license and satisfactory pass a physical (including drug/alcohol) screening. Applicants must pass a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) screening prior to employment. Excellent Benefit Package.
