Job Description
Small, hands-on property management company looking for a dependable handyman to join our team on a recurring basis — about one day a week to start, growing toward 10-15 hours/week as we get to know your work. We manage roughly 50 rental units across Boston and the Merrimack Valley, and we're tired of chasing down contractors who don't call back. If that sounds like a good match, keep reading. The Work
- Fixing doors, locks, and hardware
- Patching drywall and handling small paint touch-ups
- Replacing faucets, toilets, and basic plumbing fixtures — bonus if you know your way around a hot water heater
- Basic electrical work: outlets, switches, light fixtures
- Light carpentry and trim repairs
- Troubleshooting tenant maintenance requests
- Occasional same-day urgent calls (a leak, a lockout, no heat) — these pay extra and don't happen often
- Working respectfully and professionally in occupied units What We Need From You
- 2+ years of handyman or general maintenance experience
- Comfortable diagnosing problems on your own — we won't be micromanaging
- You answer your phone and show up when you say you will
- Confident in at least 2-3 of the trade areas above
- Your own tools and reliable transportation
- Comfortable working in occupied multi-family rental buildings What You Get
- Paid the same day the job's done — Venmo, Zelle, or check, your choice
- Jobs batched by neighborhood so you're not driving all over the map
- One point of contact — no corporate runaround
- Real potential to grow into more hours as the relationship builds
- $25•40/hour depending on experience and trade skills If that sounds like your kind of work, apply and let's talk.
