We're currently seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician (Tech 2) to support an affordable housing community of 50~ units in Lexington, MA, with an on-call rotation that also supports nearby sites including Stow, MA. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid maintenance or handyman foundation who wants a long-term career path in multifamily. You'll handle standard apartment maintenance and unit turns at a manageable-sized community, with the added advantage of having a senior Tech 3 on-site as a mentor and backup for tougher calls. Responsibilities Complete apartment work orders and general repairs (plumbing basics, appliances, fixtures, blinds, etc.) Support unit turns including punch work and readiness for move-ins Troubleshoot issues efficiently and communicate updates with the site team Participate in an on-call rotation covering Lexington and nearby communities including Stow, MA Deliver resident-focused service in an affordable housing environment Qualifications 1+ year of general maintenance, handyman, facilities, or trades experience Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (required for on-call coverage) Ability to meet on-call response expectations, including travel to Stow, MA during rotation weeks Comfort working independently day-to-day, with support available when needed HVAC/EPA, OSHA, or other relevant certifications are a plus but not required Perks Hourly base pay range of approximately $25 to $31 per hour, plus on-call stipend Built-in support from an on-site senior technician for coaching and escalation help Full benefits package including all major insurance, 401k, and PTO Work for a nationwide company that can offer growth and stability
