OVERVIEW

• Perform preventative maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and installations on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic production/process equipment in a medical device molding facility.

Mentor junior mechanics and support continuous improvement.

HOURS & COMPENSATION

• Hourly range: \$25.00 ? \$41.35 per hour
• 12-hour rotating shift (Nights receive +\$2/hr)
• Rotating night schedule: 8:00 PM ? 8:00 AM ET
• Full-time, regular; hourly (non-exempt)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Install and set up equipment and perform mold troubleshooting and setup
• Troubleshoot, repair, and set up robots
• Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain machine logs, paperwork, and computerized records
• Perform building and facility maintenance and repairs as needed
• Maintain parts/supplies inventory and communicate restock needs
• Support equipment installations and plant layout changes with engineers and mechanics
• Maintain personal toolbox and required tools
• Mentor and train other mechanics
• Regular attendance and professionalism

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 5 years maintenance mechanic experience in injection molding
• Minimum 1 year mold setup experience with mold troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic prints/diagrams
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex technical problems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate degree or 2-year technical college degree preferred
• SolidWorks experience preferred
• Experience with lean manufacturing concepts

PHYSICAL / ADA REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, reaching, and other movement
• Occasional repetitive motion and grasping; occasional climbing
• Lift/move/transfer up to 50 lbs occasionally; \>20 lbs frequently
• Continuous walking/standing; exposure to machine shop hazards and chemicals (may require respiratory protection)
• Occasional keyboard/computer operation
