This dynamic property is home to our core team, two unique dining venues, and a variety of commercial tenants. Island Creek Oysters is seeking a hands-on Property Maintenance Technician to help maintain our hospitality, waterfront, aquacultural, and operational properties. Reporting to the Property Director, this position performs preventative and reactive maintenance, general repairs, seasonal work, snow and ice removal, and project support. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and taking initiative. The technician will organize day-to-day work within priorities established with the Property Director and communicate issues that require additional direction or resources. Success requires dependability, sound judgment, and pride in keeping Island Creek's properties safe, functional, and well maintained.

ROLE:

Perform preventative and reactive maintenance across Island Creek properties. Troubleshoot and complete general repairs including basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, hardware, doors, fixtures, and similar building maintenance. Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and keep work orders current in the company's property maintenance software. Organize daily work around priorities established with the Property Director, incoming requests, PMs, projects, and seasonal needs. Maintain the shop, tools, equipment, and routine inventory; source standard materials and replacement parts within purchasing guidelines. Manage routine snow and ice removal, including plowing, shoveling, and salting, and assist with preparation and response during larger storms. Support seasonal operations, property improvement projects, and specialized contractors through site preparation, limited demolition, light painting, punch-list work, and coordination.

REQUIREMENTS

Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability. Facilities & Property maintenance or construction experience preferred Working knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, hand and power tools, and general building maintenance. HVAC and/or Refrigeration experience a strong plus. Ability to work independently within established priorities and perform physical work indoors and outdoors year-round. Valid driver's license and clean driving record; snow removal experience preferred.

METRICS:

Timely completion of preventative and reactive maintenance within established priorities. Accurate and current maintenance records and work orders. Organized, ready-to-use shop, tools, and routine inventory. Reliable seasonal and snow response with clear communication of issues requiring escalation.
