Job Description

MAINTENANCE PERSON
Summary Maintains overall cleanliness and maintenance of the building by performing the following duties. Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1.Assists Superintendent in purchasing supplies and materials.
  • 2.Maintains maintenance request forms and apartment files.
  • 3.Organizes and maintains inventory control.
  • 4.Participates in annual inspection of apartments.
  • 5.Upholds a high standard of building maintenance and cleanliness.
  • 6.Refurbishes apartments prior to new move-ins.
  • 7.Responds timely to all maintenance requests/work orders to include plumbing, carpentry, electric and pest control.
  • 8.Performs daily landscaping duties to include snow removal, planting, removal of plants, and clean-up of ground during spring, summer, fall and winter.
  • 9.Communicates to Management situations (resident and site) which require advisement.
  • Other Duties 10.
Responds to resident health emergencies with Management. 11.Assists in processing invoices for payment. 12.Responds to all building emergency situations in conjunction with or in absence of Superintendent twenty-four hours a day. 13.Performs duties of Superintendent in their absence. 14.Attends and participates in industry-related training. 15.Complies with all company policies and procedures. 16.Performs other related duties as assigned.
