Maintenance Mechanic (Manufacturing)
•Job description: New England Wire Products, Inc. (NEWP) is a family-owned, domestic manufacturer of high-quality wire display racks and shelving solutions. For decades, we've partnered with customers across the U.S. to deliver dependable products backed by responsive, relationship-driven service. New England Wire Products, Inc. is seeking 1st and 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanics to join our growing team in our production factory located in Leominster, MA! These technicians will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment. Locating and diagnosing failures, replacing defective components, and performing basic troubleshooting by using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions. May redesign basic optical, electrical, electronic, heating, cooling or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment. Maintains appropriate maintenance, inventory, and repair logs. Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment. This technician will be called upon to perform additional tasks beyond equipment maintenance that enable ongoing support of production efforts. Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance as necessary to ensure plant reliability Troubleshoot any maintenance issues throughout the plant with minimal supervisor involvement Complete various projects including welding, machining, mechanical, electrical, and work orders as assigned Monitor factory machines Prioritize maintenance work that needs to be completed Partner with production associates to ensure product flow (i.e. work with machine operators on troubleshooting, and operate machinery) Be able to operate all machinery, some onsite training is given Troubleshoot PLC and use PLC to troubleshoot equipment issues Work and communicate well with others and effectively contribute to the working relationships within NEWP Maintenance Mechanic

Qualifications:
High School diploma, or equivalent experience Specialized technical training equivalent to a technical degree 2-3 years of relevant experience (mechanical and electrical); experience with PLCs and prior experience in manufacturing is preferred Ability to resolve and troubleshoot equipment with limited support Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Required) Maintenance Mechanic
