In this role, you will perform routine cleaning tasks, conduct inspections, and carry out maintenance activities to prevent equipment failures and maintain high standards of sanitation. Duties Perform daily cleaning tasks across various areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness standards. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers to ensure effective sanitation and floor care. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential maintenance issues or safety hazards before they escalate. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures during cleaning and maintenance activities. Assist with custodial duties related to industrial cleaning, commercial spaces, or residential areas as needed. Support preventive maintenance routines such as minor repairs, equipment checks, and ensuring proper functioning of cleaning tools and machinery. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning operations and manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of commercial or industrial cleaning processes. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools. Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with safety protocol adherence. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on sanitation, safety, and preventive maintenance routines. Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and facility users. Prior experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
