Job Description
The part-time Maintenance Technician supports the safe, efficient, and effective operation of district buildings and grounds by performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks. This includes repairs and upkeep of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building systems. The technician ensures school facilities are well-maintained, meet safety standards, and support student learning.
Respond to maintenance service requests in a timely manner and document work performed.
Conduct preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment per established schedules.
Maintain clean and safe work areas; follow proper procedures for handling tools and materials.
Assist with snow removal, groundskeeping, and seasonal work as needed.
Collaborate with custodial staff and external contractors on facility-related projects.
Identify and report safety hazards, needed repairs, and potential facility improvements.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and work orders.
Support event setup and breakdown, including furniture/equipment moving and minor staging.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Facilities Coordinator or designee.
