Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Garage Door Technician to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining garage doors and related systems with precision and care. Your expertise will ensure our customers enjoy safe, reliable, and aesthetically pleasing garage solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, utilizing your technical skills and construction experience to deliver top-quality service every day. Responsibilities Install, adjust, and repair residential and commercial garage doors, including hardware, springs, cables, rollers, and openers. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to complete installations and repairs efficiently. Conduct heavy lifting of doors, springs, and other heavy components safely while adhering to safety protocols. Apply mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting issues with door mechanisms and electrical components. Complete door hanging tasks, caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, electrical work, and other construction-related duties as needed. Work in an efficient and productive manner daily. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years experience in the overhead door industry. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems related to garage doors and openers. Experience with schematics interpretation, and fabrication techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various working conditions. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, electrical systems, caulking techniques, trim carpentry, fixture installation, or handyman experience is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately.
