Position Summary The Facilities & Maintenance Assistant helps maintain The Fitzpatrick Collaborative's building and grounds to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for community members, program participants, renters, and staff. This position performs general maintenance, light custodial work, event setup, and routine facility inspections. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and enjoys hands-on work while taking pride in maintaining a community-centered facility.

Essential Responsibilities:

Facility Maintenance Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout the building. Complete basic painting, carpentry, plumbing, and general repair tasks. Replace light bulbs, ceiling tiles, filters, and other routine maintenance items. Report major maintenance needs to the Executive Director. Event & Program Support Help ensure facilities are clean and ready for participants. Grounds Maintenance Pick up litter and maintain outdoor spaces. Perform seasonal tasks such as light landscaping, weeding, and snow/ice treatment around entrances and walkways. Assist with lawn care and other exterior maintenance as needed. Safety Conduct routine walkthroughs to identify maintenance or safety concerns. Help maintain a safe environment for staff, volunteers, and visitors. Follow all organizational safety policies and procedures.
