General Maintenance Staff Temporary Monday through Friday (7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) Beginning immediately Description Fay School seeks candidates who are hardworking and committed to working in a team environment to join its Facilities Department. The primary responsibilities of this position include care and upkeep of the School's campus, including athletic fields, swimming pools, vehicles, and equipment, mainly after school hours. This is a full-time position and is eligible for benefits. Qualifications Candidates must have prior general maintenance experience, hold a valid driver's licenses, be able to work independently and be a collaborative team member. Candidates are expected to demonstrate initiative in identifying tasks that need to be completed and maintain a high level of quality of work. In addition, candidates must be able to:

• Use light and heavy equipment such as ladders, power tools, hand and electrical measuring tools, vans, mowers, and utility vehicles
• Drive school vehicles
• Lift and carry up to 50lbs
• Perform repetitive tasks, including stooping, bending, reaching and carrying
• Move around campus on foot or vehicle The School seeks candidates who will reflect and enhance the racial, cultural, and gender diversity of our school community. Responsibilities include
• Organizing, prioritizing, and performing assigned tasks without direct supervision
• Performing assigned tasks to service and maintain mechanical and HVAC equipment, plumbing and light electrical. student activity vehicles, and general repairs to campus buildings at the expected standards of safety, operation, and cleanliness
• Monitor parking areas for safety during student drop off times.
• Observing and complying with all standard safety codes and practices, performing work in accordance with recognized trade and school standards
• Operating small power tools and snow removal equipment, including snow blowers, plows, shovels, power brooms and by other snow removal means as required for snow removal
• Assisting inspectors during equipment testing and inspections; maintaining equipment manuals and inspection reports
• Clearing snow from campus
• Being available to respond to off-hours emergencies as needed
• Be available to work additional hours as required for snow removal, setups or other needs
• Other maintenance tasks as required including cleanup of spills, plumbing backups, etc.
