Job Description The starting rate of pay for this position is expected to be $30.00; however, starting pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience between $28.00 and $38.00.
SHIFT/HOURS
Sunday-Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains a variety of industrial production and building equipment with related work involved in the maintenance of the facility building.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports and complies with safety and environmental guidelines (Amcor, State and Federal) Conducts regularly scheduled maintenance on equipment and machinery Troubleshoots issues that affect mechanical performance and/or other quality issues Diagnoses problems to maintain good mechanical running condition and repairs/replaces defective parts Fabricates, as neededEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent 3+ years hands on industrial maintenance mechanical experienceQUALIFICATIONS
Strong mechanical knowledge Strong ability to problem solve Strong English (verbal and written) communication skills Basic mathematical skills Basic industrial/manufacturing wiring experiencePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to work at heights (up to 4 stories high). Excellent vision, eye-hand coordination, and hearing. Strong manual dexterity involving total wrist action, twisting, pulling, and raising arms at or above shoulder height. Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Ability to stand, sit, kneel, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and crawl for extended periods multiple times per day. Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes safety glasses, safety goggles, hearing protection, steel toe shoes/boots, face shield, gloves, bump cap, and face mask. Ability to work in warm, humid, and cool climates for 8 or more hours per day or night.
