Job Title:
Maintenance Technician | $26-28+HR | 1st Shift Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns, diagnose equipment issues, and implement reliable, safe repairs while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Responsibilities Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special purpose machines as assigned. Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts, and complete tasks as assigned. Test malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs, and discuss with head mechanic for approval and repair as needed. Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning. Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Essential Skills Solid experience in mechanical troubleshooting and repair. At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting performing maintenance. Ability to work overtime and Saturdays. Experience with industrial welding and fabrication. Basic understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting. Experience with gears, bearings, pumps, etc. Mechanical aptitude and machine maintenance skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in plant machine maintenance, hydraulics, and electrical troubleshooting. Ability to troubleshoot PLCs. Experience in welding is preferred. Familiarity with equipment installation and decommissioning. Why Work Here? It is not temperature controlled and can become dusty due to the materials used. The workforce consists of around 50 people in production across four shifts. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
