Job Description
Position Overview A well-established multifamily residential property management organization is seeking a skilled and dependable Apartment Maintenance Technician to join its maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent customer service skills, and experience performing a variety of apartment maintenance and repair tasks in an occupied residential community. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of the property while delivering exceptional service to residents. Key Responsibilities Complete service requests in a timely, professional, and quality-focused manner. Perform routine preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and other building components. Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents, including make-ready repairs and inspections. Conduct regular property inspections and identify maintenance concerns. Respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed. Maintain grounds, common areas, amenities, and curb appeal standards. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company policies and safety regulations. Keep accurate records of completed work orders and maintenance activities. Assist with after-hours on-call rotation as required. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of 1-3 years of apartment maintenance, residential maintenance, or related technical experience. Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and general maintenance practices. EPA Certification preferred or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screening, where permitted by law.
