Service Tech Helper Join the Vytex Team Today! We have been an established window manufacturing and installation company since 1988 looking for a Service Technician Helper at our Laurel, MD office. Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Service Technician Helper to assist with the repair, adjustment, and service of residential windows and doors. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with tools, being on job sites, and learning a skilled trade.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist lead technicians with on-site service and repairs of windows and doors Help diagnose issues such as operational problems, hardware failures, and minor installation defects Safely use hand tools and power tools to complete repairs and adjustments Load/unload materials, tools, and replacement parts Maintain a clean and organized work environment at job sites and in company vehicles Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
Qualifications:
Prior experience in construction, carpentry, manufacturing, or a related field preferred (but not required) Comfortable using basic hand and power tools Strong work ethics and willingness to learn Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in various weather conditions Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred Good communication and teamwork skills
