Job Description

Lorien Mount Airy is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated and supportive team . This role is essential in maintaining a safe, clean, and well‑functioning environment that supports the care and comfort of our patients and staff .The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the proper and safe preparation, repair, application, and ongoing maintenance of painted and related surfaces—both interior and exterior —as well as general facility upkeep. Key Responsibilities Prepare, repair, paint, and maintain interior and exterior surfaces Perform routine facility maintenance and minor repairs Ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with standards Support a clean, functional, and safe care environment Collaborate with the maintenance team to meet facility needs Weekend On-Call Rotation Minor grounds maintenance and up keep
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Service or Maintenance Technician , with expertise in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or related fields Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams Experience in construction, facility maintenance, or equipment repair strongly preferred Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team Excellent problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail when diagnosing and resolving issues Working knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards related to maintenance work in healthcare or similar environments Prior maintenance experience in a healthcare, assisted living, or long‑term care facility is preferred but not required

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
