Job Description

The Princess Bayside Beach Hotel is seeking a skilled, reliable Maintenance Attendant to manage the physical upkeep and technical operations of our premier bayside resort property. You will perform routine repairs, emergency troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance across guest rooms, public facilities, and outdoor spaces. Your work directly impacts our guest experience by ensuring a safe, fully operational, and welcoming beach resort environment.
Key Responsibilities Guest Room Repairs :
Troubleshoot and repair issues with in-room PTAC heating/AC units, efficiency kitchenettes, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and electronics.
Facility Operations :
Conduct ongoing checks on our heated indoor pool, outdoor rooftop pool, and public lounge areas to keep mechanical systems working optimally.
Preventative Maintenance :
Complete structural room inspections, filter changes, and regular property walk-throughs to mitigate systemic breakdowns.
Grounds & Exterior Care :
Keep our private bay beach, deck areas, and waterfront structures safe and free of hazards.
General Trades :
Perform basic carpentry, drywall patch-ups, interior/exterior painting, and appliance maintenance.
Safety & Standards :
Log all completed tasks in the digital work order system and strictly follow OSHA guidelines, including lockout-tagout procedures.
Requirements Experience :
Minimum of 1-2 years in commercial property maintenance, ideally in a hotel, resort, or property management setting.
Technical Skills :
Hands-on proficiency with basic plumbing, electrical wiring, drywall, and commercial HVAC systems.
Physical Fitness :
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in tight spaces, and stand for extended shifts.
Schedule Flexibility :
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and rotating morning/evening shifts during peak summer tourist seasons.
Legal :
Must be 18 years or older, hold a valid driver's license, and pass standard background verification screenings.
Pay:
$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
