Construction and Maintenance Tech I
Construction and Maintenance Technician I Location:
Beaver Run, MD Your role in our success: The Construction and Maintenance Technician I is responsible for the safe operation, installation, and maintenance of company system infrastructure and facilities, as well as emergency response within the service territory. What you'll be doing:
- Assists with operation and maintenance of gas pipelines and facilities
- Maintains company equipment, facilities, and grounds (operations centers, M&R, City Gate, compressor stations, etc.)
- Performs pipeline maintenance (leak repairs, cathodic protection, clearing rights of way, valve maintenance)
- Operates equipment (backhoes, excavators, trenchers) with guidance and maintains daily records
- Conducts equipment inspections (including pre/post trip)
- Keeps company truck stocked and organized
- Performs light maintenance on facilities/equipment
- Assists with peak shaving processes as needed W you'll be working:
- Primarily outdoor/field work
- Weekend and on-call rotation required
- Exposure to noise, weather, gas, electricity Who you are:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Entry-level mechanical/industrial (trade school or tools experience)
License:
Valid driver's license + ability to obtain CDL within 18 months
- Strong focus on safety
- General knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and heavy equipment
- Basic computer skills (MS Office) and communication skills
