Job Description
Kent Island Resort | A VIVÂMEE Property Kent Island Resort is seeking a skilled, hands-on Hotel Maintenance Engineer to support the daily operation, safety, and appearance of our historic waterfront property. This role is essential to ensuring a seamless guest experience by maintaining all resort facilities, guest rooms, event spaces, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work while contributing to a team culture rooted in Joy, Humility, and Ministry. What You'll Do Facility & Preventative Maintenance Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces Identify, troubleshoot, and repair maintenance issues in a timely manner Execute work orders and track completion to ensure operational efficiency Repairs & Operations Support Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and team members Repair equipment, fixtures, appliances, and building systems as needed Assist in setup and breakdown for events, weddings, and programming Ensure all tools, equipment, and workspaces are properly maintained Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies Support fire, life safety, and emergency systems maintenance Maintain safe working conditions and report any hazards immediately Participate in safety training and drills Grounds & Property Care Assist in maintaining exterior areas, including landscaping, walkways, and waterfront areas Monitor overall property condition and proactively address maintenance needs Support seasonal projects such as weatherproofing, facility upgrades, and equipment servicing Team & Culture Collaborate with leadership and other departments to support resort operations Deliver service with professionalism and a guest-first mindset Embody and promote VIVÂMEE's culture and values in daily work What You Bring 2-5+ years of maintenance experience in hospitality, facilities, or a related field Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Basic computer skills for work order systems (preferred) Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks About Kent Island Resort Kent Island Resort is a historic destination offering guests a chance to disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature.
