Job Description
The Winslow Public School System serves over 1,200 students of all ages in and near Winslow, Maine. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Worker to join our team. This position is responsible for supporting the upkeep, safety, and cleanliness of our facility, including routine maintenance, minor repairs, and general building care. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in their work, and is able to work both independently and as part of a team. Full job description available click here: Maintenance Job Description Primary Responsibilities Physical ability to perform all necessary upper and lower body movements. Ability to use electrical hand tools and construction equipment. Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds and climb ladders. Demonstrates acceptable interpersonal skills and working relations with co-workers, staff, students and general public. Perform assigned tasks associated with snow removal, sanding and grounds program. Perform assigned tasks associated with the maintenance of school facilities. Examine school facilities and grounds on a regular basis for needed repairs and maintenance. Has understanding of construction, and is experienced in carpentry, basic electricity, and plumbing. Properly utilize and care for assigned equipment and supplies. Maintain and repair assigned equipment. Has general knowledge and understanding of OSHA requirements. Maintain Athletic Fields and Outdoor Recreational Areas Perform additional tasks as directed. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. Physically able to perform required responsibilities. Demonstrate desirable working relations, work habits and personal hygiene. Willing to work overtime as required.
