Full Job Description Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team at a busy apartment community in Canton. This role is responsible for maintaining the property's physical condition, completing work orders, and ensuring a safe, comfortable living environment for our residents. The ideal candidate has hands-on maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and takes pride in delivering quality service. HVAC experience is a plus, but not required. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general repairs Respond promptly and professionally to resident service requests and work orders Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns Prepare apartments for new move-ins, including turnovers, repairs, and inspections Maintain an organized maintenance shop, tools, and inventory Ensure proper operation of building systems and common areas Work closely with management to schedule and complete preventive maintenance Follow all safety procedures and comply with local codes and regulations Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance as needed Qualifications Previous apartment maintenance or related experience preferred Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance HVAC experience is a bonus Ability to diagnose and repair issues efficiently and safely Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends if needed Benefits Competitive hourly pay Paid Time Off (PTO) & sick time Supportive team environment with opportunities for growth Eligible for an on-site rent discount after 90 days of employment
