Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as a School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to an energetic educational environment near Canton, MI, working on a contract basis. This role is essential for students who benefit from skilled communication support, especially during Extended School Year (ESY) programming. Engage with passionate educators and make a direct, positive impact on students' speech and language progress throughout the renewal term.
Ideal candidates will possess:
Current licensure and credentials to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC required) Experience working as an SLP in a school setting, serving varying student populations Strong knowledge of therapy planning, session documentation, and IEP implementation Effective communication with students, staff, and families A commitment to fostering positive outcomes for students during ESY sessions and throughout the school year In this position, you will: Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapy services to students with a variety of speech and language needs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) Monitor, evaluate, and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary Conduct screenings and participate in eligibility and placement decisions as part of ESY renewal Offer guidance to families and educational staff to support student communication skills across settings This contract role places you within a supportive network of professionals dedicated to student success.
