Job Description

Key Responsibilities Facility & Equipment Maintenance The Maintenance Technician II is a mid-level, hands-on technical role responsible for advanced maintenance, repairs, and small renovation projects throughout the Oasis facility. Maintenance Tech II team members are trusted operators capable of working independently, leading small projects, and supporting the development of entry-level technicians. This is a Part-Time position with the possibility of transitioning into Full-Time based on business needs, performance, and project demands. Perform all Maintenance Technician I duties, including: Routine spa water testing and chemical maintenance Cleaning and upkeep of tubs, dressing rooms, gardens, and guest areas Repair and replacement of spa pumps, filters, heaters, and related equipment Plumbing repairs, leak diagnostics, and valve replacements Execute advanced electrical repairs (outlets, switches, dimmers, lighting, motors) Complete structural and cosmetic repairs such as drywall, tile, painting, decking, joist hangers, and minor renovations Repair or replace hot tub motors, blowers, and mechanical components Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades as scheduled Maintain safe, organized workspaces and proper storage of tools, equipment, and chemicals Project Leadership & Staff Support Assist in training and mentoring Maintenance Technician I staff as directed Lead small-scale repair or renovation projects independently Communicate clearly with supervisors, front desk staff, and management regarding timelines, safety, and system status Health, Safety & Compliance Follow all OSHA, state, and facility safety standards, including PPE requirements Maintain spa water chemistry and chemical handling in compliance with health regulations Evaluate risk and safety considerations before performing advanced maintenance tasks Teamwork & Continuous Improvement Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and cost control Collaborate effectively with maintenance staff, management, and operations teams Qualifications Demonstrated mastery of all Maintenance Technician I competencies Strong independent work ethic with minimal supervision Proven troubleshooting skills across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and structural systems Proficiency in spa systems and water chemistry management Successful completion of the Oasis Maintenance Technician II Skills Assessment, including competency in: Advanced electrical repairs (outlets, switches, dimmers, motors) Facility repairs (drywall, tile, painting, decking, structural supports) Spa equipment upgrades (heaters, pumps, chemical/acid feed systems) Independent system troubleshooting and repair Physical Requirements & Work Environment Ability to lift 50+ pounds Ability to climb stairs, kneel, bend, twist, stoop, and stand for extended periods Exposure to chemicals (including acids, chlorine, cleaning agents) and hot water (94-104°F) Comfortable working in wet, humid, outdoor, and basement mechanical environments Ability to safely operate power tools and equipment independently Work environments include pristine lobbies and dressing rooms, indoor and outdoor hot tubs (open year-round in all weather), and cement-floor mechanical basements where spa systems are housed.
